What is Physiotherapy?
The British Chartered Society of Physiotherapy describes Physiotherapy as
“A healthcare profession with a science foundation that aims to help restore
movement and function to as near normal as possible when someone is affected by
injury, illness or by developmental or other disability”.
Physiotherapy is the treatment, management, and prevention of a variety of conditions,
which may result
from everyday activities, work-related problems, or from an injury during participation
in sport.
How is treatment provided?
Manual Therapy :
Joint and Soft-tissue techniques to reduce stiffness and relieve pain, reduce scar
tissue, relieve muscle spasms and reduce tightness and accelerate healing.
Rehabilitation :
Exercise programs specific to the individual‘s problems, muscle balance
correction, and core stability training. We have a fully equipped pneumatic gym
available within the premises.
Pediatric Physiotherapy:
The pediatric physiotherapy department is an integral part of our outpatient
rehabilitation program for children with disabilities. Our specialized physiotherapist
team works with these children, who range in age from newborn to 18 years old. The team
helps them overcome movement dysfunctions related to a wide range of neurological
conditions.
Preventative Advice :
Postural re-education and appropriate stretching, activity modification, and injury
management.
Electrotherapy :
A variety of techniques including Ultrasound, Interferential therapy, Laser, and TENS
are used to relieve pain and enhance healing.
Ergonomic Assessment and Advice :
Ergonomic workstation assessments for your workplace, whether desk-based, factory work
or home-based. We provide expert advice regarding adaptations and specialized equipment
to keep you fit and healthy at work.
Specialized Sports Physiotherapy :
Sports Physiotherapy is concerned with the early and accurate clinical diagnosis,
